Eid Outfits for Women, from Morning Prayer to Eid Dinner

Dressing for each part of Eid day

• Morning prayer: sleeves to the wrist or three-quarter length, a closer neckline and a dupatta long enough to cover your hair. A lawn or chiffon shalwar kameez lets you sit on the floor and walk to the prayer ground in comfort.
• Family visits: plan for hours of sitting, serving food and greeting relatives. A shalwar kameez or sharara set moves with you, and a dupatta you can pin at the shoulder keeps your hands free.
• Eid dinner or party: this is where net, organza and dressier chiffon come in, as a Pakistani maxi, a flared Pakistani frock, a lehenga choli or a saree.

One outfit or two?

If you change once, pair a lawn shalwar kameez for the day with a chiffon or net outfit for the evening. If you want one outfit for everything, choose chiffon cut as a shalwar kameez or a sharara set: it is dressy enough for dinner and still easy to pray in. Order dates for Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha

Shipping to the US takes up to 18 calendar days, counted from the day after you order, and that time includes sewing as well as the courier. Rush Delivery and Super Rush Delivery are for bridal and groom orders and are not normally available on Eid outfits, so plan backward from the date:

• For Eid al-Fitr, order within the first ten days of Ramadan. The date depends on the moon sighting and can differ by a day between communities, so plan for the earlier one.
• For Eid al-Adha, on the tenth of Dhul Hijjah, order by the middle of Dhul Qadah.
• Each Eid comes about eleven days earlier every year, so ordering on the same calendar date as last year leaves you short.

Choose a standard size or, where the design offers it, a Custom Size sewn exactly to the measurements you send; if you are between sizes, take the larger one. We work in inches, with centimeters shown for reference, so check the size guide before you measure. After you order, our team contacts you for your full measurements.

Eid outfits: questions we hear most

Can I wear one outfit from Eid prayer to dinner?

Yes, if you pick it for the morning first. A chiffon shalwar kameez or sharara set with sleeves and a long dupatta works at the prayer, and the same outfit looks right at dinner. Save sheer net, open necklines and heavy lehengas for an evening-only look.

How late can I order for Eid al-Fitr?

Order within the first ten days of Ramadan. Shipping takes up to 18 calendar days from the day after you order, sewing included, and Eid follows 29 or 30 fasts depending on the moon sighting. Later than that, it may arrive on the eve of Eid or after it.

Will I pay customs on an Eid outfit shipped to the US?

Normally not. We normally prepay import charges to the courier on your behalf. If a courier ever asks you for customs, duty or tax, send us the receipt and we refund the verified amount.

Can I cancel or return an Eid outfit?

You can cancel within 12 hours of ordering for a full refund. Later, before it ships, 35% of the amount paid is deducted. Once it has shipped, it cannot be returned or exchanged, so check the size guide carefully and ask for the video of your finished outfit before it ships.
