Shades of Gold and When to Wear Them

Champagne and pale gold are the quietest. They suit a Walima or daytime reception and sit well beside ivory or blush. Antique and old gold have a slight brown undertone that looks traditional on olive and deeper skin. Rose gold leans pink and photographs softly. Bright yellow gold is the boldest of the group and belongs in a large evening hall.

Much of the shine comes from the base fabric. Tissue glows on its own. It has a metallic weave that catches light. Net and organza let the embroidery do the work, with sequins, cutdana and zari adding sparkle. Raw silk gives a matte gold that photographs with more depth.

Each lehenga is made after you place your order, through our own workshop network. You can reduce the embroidery, switch between gold and silver thread, change the choli length or add a matching second dupatta. As with all our designer-inspired Pakistani bridal dresses, extra material or work is quoted before production. Standard delivery is free. The lehenga normally reaches you within three months of ordering. For closer dates, paid Rush delivery takes up to 30 calendar days. Will a gold lehenga look the same in person as on screen?

Metallic fabric reacts to the lighting around it, so it can look paler or more yellow than a photo. We aim to represent colors accurately, but a slight difference may appear because of photography, lighting or individual screen settings. Ask to see the fabric before production if the shade matters.

Can I pair a gold lehenga with red?
