Indian or Pakistani party wear: what differs

Very little in the shapes. Lehenga cholis, anarkalis, shararas and sarees turn up at Indian and Pakistani parties alike. The differences are in the details: Pakistani party wear often pairs a longer shirt with a gharara, sharara or straight pants and leans on zardozi, dabka and pearl work, while many Indian party looks put a short blouse over a full skirt. Ours are made in our own workshops in Pakistan, and they work at either kind of celebration.

Dressing for a Bollywood night

A Bollywood theme party asks for color, shine and movement more than strict tradition. A lehenga choli or a lehenga saree reads as Bollywood from across the room. If you plan to dance all night, our sharara and gharara sets are easier to move in, and an anarkali dress or a pishwas gives you the twirl without a separate skirt.

Picking the embroidery for the room

Party lighting is warm and dim, so choose the work before the color. Zardozi and dabka, raised metallic thread and coiled wire, read from a distance. Sequins and mukaish, tiny flat pieces of metal, catch every turn on the dance floor. Gold work shows up best on ivory, black or deep fuchsia, while ice blue, lilac and pistachio keep an evening look light.

Ordering for your party date

Pick a standard size from our size chart, going up a size if you are between two, or Customized Size, sewn exactly to the measurements you send; our team contacts you after you order to collect them. The color, the embroidery color, the sleeves, the neckline or the length can be changed on many designs before sewing: message us on WhatsApp before you order and we tell you what that design allows.

Will my outfit arrive in time for the party?

Check the estimated date on the product page for each delivery option before you order, and allow a few days to try everything on. If the date is tight, send us the design and your party date on WhatsApp first, and we will tell you plainly what is possible.

Do you make plus-size party wear?

Yes. Choose Customized Size and we sew the outfit exactly to the measurements you send, so it fits plus sizes, petite frames and anyone between two sizes. The workshop works in inches, with centimeters shown for reference, so measure in inches if you can.

What does Pakistani party wear cost?

Every design lists its price in US dollars, and the grid sorts from low to high. Fabric, cut and the amount of embroidery set the price. Optional extras, such as a faster delivery option or matching jewelry where a design offers it, are priced before checkout. You can pay by PayPal, card or bank transfer.
