Reception, walima or both

If your walima is serving as the reception, one outfit can cover both events. If you have a separate reception evening, decide whether you want one look for both or two different looks. When the walima is the larger party, look through the walima collection too.

Gown, lehenga or saree

A gown gives the biggest change of shape: a closed gown, or one that opens at the front over a lehenga, with or without a trail. A peshwas is a long, flared frock worn over a lehenga. A lehenga keeps the familiar silhouette, a choli, kurti or long shirt over a full skirt that a cancan layer can hold out, and a farshi lehenga or farshi gharara sweeps the floor. Reception sarees go from a sleeveless blouse to full sleeves with a high neck, and a lehenga-saree style adds a flared skirt and a trail.

Colors and handwork

Silver, rose gold and gold embroidery are layered as dabka, zari, salma sitara, kora, nakshi and pearls, on organza, net or tissue silk. A pale base with silver reads cool and bright; a deep base with gold reads warmer and more traditional. To change the color, embroidery shade, sleeves or neckline, ask before you order: every bridal design is open to Full Custom Design, and changes that add fabric, embroidery or labor are priced and approved before work starts.

Delivery and sizing in the US

Bridal delivery is counted in calendar days from the day after you order and covers production and shipping:

• Normal Delivery: up to 3 months, free
• Rush Delivery: up to 30 calendar days, $59
• Super Rush Delivery: up to 14 calendar days, $199

If your reception is a day or two after the baraat, order both outfits together and plan for the earlier date. Choose a standard size with our sizing chart, going up if you are between two, or choose Custom Size and provide the requested measurements. Import charges are normally prepaid by us; if a courier ever asks you for customs, duty or tax, send us the receipt and we refund the verified amount. Cancel a bridal order within 24 hours for a full refund; a cancellation after that, before dispatch, has 35% of the amount paid deducted. Details are on the delivery terms page.

Reception dress questions

Do you have outfits for reception guests?

Guests have their own range, since reception dresses are made for the bride. Our guest outfits for receptions start from branded unstitched fabric we buy directly from Pakistani labels and reach US addresses within up to 18 calendar days, with $9.99 delivery or free delivery on orders from $200.

Can the groom’s outfit be ordered too?

Yes. The groom’s sherwani range is sewn in our own workshops after you order, in standard sizes S, M, L and XL or to his measurements, and it uses the same Normal Delivery, Rush Delivery and Super Rush Delivery options, so both outfits can be planned around one date.

How much does a reception dress cost?

Every design shows its price in US dollars, so you can compare before you message us. Any change you ask for that adds fabric, embroidery or labor is priced and approved before work starts. Rush Delivery adds $59 and Super Rush Delivery adds $199; Normal Delivery is free.
