Shop Bridal Gharara Dresses from White and Ivory to Deep Red
Our bridal gharara designs run from white, off-white and ivory with gold or rose-gold work, through gold, powder blue, lilac and peach, to deep red and maroon, and every one is embroidered and sewn in our own workshops only after you order. A gharara is fitted down to the knee, then flares from a gathered joint; that is what sets it apart from a sharara. Choose a standard size or Custom Size; for a hem that sweeps the floor, see our farshi gharara collection.

Gharara vs sharara: where the flare starts
Check the knee first. A gharara is fitted through the hip and thigh, then breaks at a gathered joint into layers of pleats that fall to the floor. That joint is usually covered by a band of gota, lace or embroidery, and on a bridal gharara the band is a natural place for the heaviest work. A sharara skips the joint and widens from the hip in one line, so it reads softer and looser. You will see both names used for the same outfit; if the knee is fitted, it is a gharara. A lehenga is different again, a single skirt with no legs, and our lehenga styles for brides show that shape.
Kameez, gharara and dupatta
A bridal gharara set pairs the gharara with a kameez and a dupatta. A mid-length kameez of 30 to 36 inches ends around or just above the knee, depending on your height, so the band and the flare stay in view; compare it with your shoulder-to-knee measurement. A longer kameez covers the joint if you want more coverage. You will find full sleeves and necklines from boat and round to V, square and off-shoulder. A bridal dupatta is usually draped over the head for the ceremony; ours come in organza, chiffon or masuri. Changing the sleeves, neckline or shirt length is part of the Full Custom Design every bridal design can use; changes that add fabric, embroidery or labor are priced and approved before work starts.
Colors for each event
For a nikkah, white, off-white and ivory with gold, rose-gold or silver work are the usual choice; browse more in our ghararas for the nikkah ceremony. Red and maroon with antique gold stay traditional for the baraat. For the walima, softer shades take over: powder blue, ice blue, lilac, peach, nude pink and light gray. Pistachio, orange, yellow, sage and bottle green belong to the mehndi; see our mehndi sharara outfits. To wear one gharara to both a daytime nikkah and an evening walima, pick ivory or gold with mixed-metal work; bright mehndi shades do not cross over as easily.
Fit: putting the knee joint in the right place
The joint should meet your knee. If it lands high, the flare starts at mid-thigh; if it lands low, every step feels shorter. With Custom Size, we sew the gharara exactly to the measurements you send; after you order, our team gets in touch for the full set, and the workshop works in inches. Tell them your height and the heel height you will wear, since both move the hem. If you order a standard size, check our size chart and go up a size when you fall between two.

Bridal gharara questions
What decides the price of a bridal gharara?
The dollar price sits on every design, and sorting the grid by price lines them up. A farshi length takes more fabric than a standard gharara, jamawar or tissue silk changes the base cost, and dense zardozi or dabka adds embroidery hours. If you want something altered that needs extra fabric, work or labor, we quote it before sewing starts; Rush Delivery ($59) and Super Rush Delivery ($199) appear on your order only if you pick them.
How far ahead should I order?
For free Normal Delivery, order at least 3 months ahead, plus a few spare days, counted from the day after you order. With less time, Rush Delivery arrives within 30 calendar days and Super Rush Delivery within 14, both including the sewing time. If one gharara covers the nikkah and the walima, plan from the earlier date.
Can my bridesmaids match my gharara?
They can. Pick one design and order it in each bridesmaid’s size, or have theirs made in a lighter shade so the bride still stands apart; ask before you order if you want less embroidery on their sets. Guests who want something simpler can browse our sharara suits for guests; guest wear arrives within up to 18 calendar days.
Can I watch my gharara being made?
Yes. Ask on WhatsApp for progress photos and close-up videos while it is being made, and use them to look closely at the embroidery on the joint band and along the hem, and to compare the shade with your jewelry before it ships. Pale colors and gold thread shift from one screen to the next, so real-fabric video is a better guide than product photos.
