Red and Maroon Bridal Lehengas for Baraat
Red is still the traditional color of the Baraat, and maroon is its deeper, moodier alternative. Shades in this family include true red, crimson, cherry, oxblood, wine and dark maroon, usually set against gold or antique gold embroidery. Our workshops make every red bridal lehenga to order, working from a designer-inspired design and your own measurements. Subject to the design, you can shift the shade, lighten or deepen the embroidery, swap the choli for a long shirt and rework the dupatta. Standard delivery to the US is free. See every color in bridal lehengas or complete looks under Baraat dresses.

Finding Your Red
Reds split into two groups. Warm reds such as tomato, brick and vermilion lean slightly orange and look strongest with yellow gold. Cool reds, crimson and cherry among them, have a blue base that also suits silver-toned or polki jewelry. Maroon, wine and oxblood sit darker. They hold their depth under evening lights and flash, which suits an indoor Baraat.
Baraat lehengas have long carried zardozi, dabka, tilla and kora work across the panels, finished with a broad or scalloped border. A contrasting dupatta is common, often tea pink, green or gold tissue against the red. Some brides wear two. One goes over the head, the other across the shoulders. For a gold-led take on the same pairing, browse gold bridal lehengas.
Fabric changes the red as much as the dye. Velvet deepens maroon and suits a winter wedding. Raw silk and jamawar give a firm, even surface for embroidery. Net and organza keep a red lehenga airy for summer, or for brides who want less weight.
Built to Your Measurements
Every lehenga here is produced after you order, in our own workshop network, to the measurements you send. Fit is only part of it. You can ask for a longer or shorter choli, a long shirt in place of a blouse, more or less flare, reduced embroidery to cut weight, or a second dupatta. For a floor-trailing version, see farshi lehengas. Changes that add fabric, embroidery or labor are priced and approved before production begins.
Standard delivery is free. It takes up to three months from your order date. For closer weddings, paid Rush delivery takes up to 30 calendar days. For a coordinated couple look, a black sherwani beside a red lehenga is a pairing many grooms choose.
Red and Maroon Lehenga Questions
Can I order a design I like in maroon instead of red?
Usually, yes. Color changes are part of bridal customization, subject to the fabric and embroidery the design needs. Ask for a fabric photo so you can approve the shade.
Are these the designers’ original lehengas?
No. They are designer-inspired lehengas made by Shadi Dress, with no designer label or packaging, and we have no affiliation with the designers referenced. Our full range sits under Pakistani bridal dresses.
