Maha Wajahat Khan Bridal Dresses USA (Inspired Versions)
Off-white touched with gold runs through recent Maha Wajahat Khan bridal dresses, including a pishwas worn over a raw silk lehenga. The designs in this category are Shadi Dress interpretations of that look. We make them ourselves, and none originates with the label. Finishing is what sets the style apart. Tissue piping and kiran lace along the edges give each piece a clean, defined line. We begin every outfit once the order arrives and tailor it to the measurements you provide, for brides planning weddings across the US. See each product page for the pieces included.

About Maha Wajahat Khan
Maha Wajahat Khan is an Islamabad-based designer who also works as a photographer. Her label covers bridal and formal wear, with ready-to-wear and menswear beside them, and its collections carry Urdu titles such as Marasim and Diyar-e-Ishq. The 2024 Diyar-e-Ishq bridal campaign dressed the bride in off-white and dull gold, beside a groom in a coordinating shalwar kameez and waistcoat.
Edges, Piping and Kiran Lace
Our interpretation pays close attention to finishing. Tissue piping outlines the neckline and panel seams, and kiran lace, a fine metallic trim, runs along hems and dupatta borders. Those edges frame dense surface work in zari, dabka, sequins and resham without letting it blur together. The pishwas carries most of the embroidery. A raw silk lehenga underneath adds weight and a matte contrast, and an organza dupatta keeps the top layer airy. Gold appears in tints and shades rather than one flat tone, so an off-white base reads warm instead of stark.
Nikkah, Walima and the Off-White Bride
For a white Nikkah dress look with more embellishment than a simple sharara allows, off-white and gold are a natural fit. The palette works for a Walima too, since a lighter mood usually follows a red Baraat, and our Walima dresses show other options for that evening. Some brides wear off-white for Baraat. In that case, heavier gold density and a fuller lehenga give it the weight the main ceremony expects. A kalidar pishwas, cut in many flared panels, adds volume that photographs well from the stage. Gold or polki jewelry keeps the metals consistent with the embroidery.
Measurements and Adjustments
A pishwas depends on bodice fit and total length. Its hem should fall just above the lehenga border, so the border stays visible when you stand. Raw silk has little give. Accurate waist and hip figures keep the lehenga smooth. Where the chosen design and its customization options allow, sleeve length or neckline shape may be adjusted. Other directions we make are collected under Pakistani bridal dresses.
Inspired, Then Made In-House
Shadi Dress neither sells Maha Wajahat Khan collections as an official retailer nor distributes them. Nor do we represent the label, and no partnership or affiliation exists. These are inspired interpretations, not original garments. Bridal wear is our core specialty, and experienced artisans in our workshops rebuild each reference’s finishing.
