Lilac Open Slit Frock with Lehenga Video

The Lilac Open Slit Frock with Lehenga is a bridal design in two layers: a front-open slit frock in Tissue Silk worn over a Jamawar lehenga with a circular full ghera. The frock carries a sweetheart neckline and full sleeves, with layered embroidery across the design and pearl and crystal embellishments.

The Lilac Hour Before Nightfall

Lilac is the color of the moment when evening has not yet become night. A faint violet mist settles over open blue sky — not the innocence of pink, not the authority of purple, but a soft breath held between the two. Traditional red remains an important part of the Pakistani bridal palette, and lilac offers a softer alternative for a bride who wants a different direction for her Nikkah. The seriousness of the occasion stays intact, while the cooler palette allows the bride’s own features to sit differently against the dress.

The outer frock is Tissue Silk, a fabric with a fine sheen, so the embroidery sits against a surface that already catches light. Across the full front, daman and side borders — and around the Jamawar lehenga ghera — the work reads like warm metallic and cooler silvered stars pinned onto dusk. Pearl and crystal accents add points of reflection without taking over the lilac base.

The front-open slit frock is where much of the visual character of the design comes from: with each step, the circular ghera of the Jamawar lehenga beneath comes into view. A sweetheart neckline and full sleeves frame the upper half, while the approximately 7 kg weight is useful to know when planning how long you expect to wear the outfit.

For styling, polki and pearls can sit naturally with the lilac palette; amethyst strands or white zircon set in cool silver can take the look in a cooler direction. These are styling suggestions only and are not included with the outfit.

What the Open Slit Actually Does

This design keeps both a frock and a lehenga in view. Standing still, the outer line reads as a frock in Tissue Silk. In movement, the front opening parts and the Jamawar ghera beneath comes into sight, so the outfit changes visually as you walk. The layered construction makes it different from a straightforward bridal lehenga while still retaining the full lower silhouette of a lehenga.

Two Surfaces, One Lilac Ground

Tissue Silk above and Jamawar below give the design its contrast. The Tissue Silk carries a subtle sheen, while Jamawar gives the lower layer a more textured, woven visual character. Both garments share the same lilac foundation, but the two surfaces read differently to the eye, giving the look depth from the upper frock down to the full ghera.

Neckline, Sleeves and Embroidery Placement

The sweetheart neckline shapes the line at the top, while full sleeves create a longer covered line on either side. This contrasts with the movement created lower down by the open front.

The embroidery placement frames the silhouette. Work across the full front holds attention at the centre; the daman and side borders draw the outer edge of the frock; and the ghera carries the work around the lehenga at floor level. Zardozi, dabka and resham are among the techniques used, while pearl and crystal embellishments add brighter points of reflection among the thread work.

Weight and Wear Planning

The outfit weighs around 7 kg. That is practical information worth considering when you think about how long you expect to wear it during the Nikkah and how much time you may spend standing or moving.

Where It Sits in the Collection

As a Nikkah design it belongs with the rest of our Nikkah dresses. Its front-open frock construction also makes the Pakistani wedding frocks collection useful if you are comparing silhouettes before deciding.

You stay in control until it ships

Watch it being made

Ask us at any stage and we send photographs or video of your actual outfit — from the first sketch through the embroidery frame to the finished garment. Ask as often as you like on WhatsApp.

A complete video before it ships

Before the parcel is sealed we send you a full video of the finished outfit. If a detail needs adjusting, tell us then and we make the change where it is workable. Nothing leaves us until you have seen it.

Exactly what you see

The photographs and video on this page are of the outfit we make — the same fabrics, the same handwork, the same weight in the hand. A screen can only carry so much: it cannot show how the zardozi catches light as you turn, or how the ghera moves when you walk. That is why we send you a video of your own outfit before it ships, so you judge the real thing rather than a photograph.

Sizing & Measurements

Choose a standard size, or select Customised Size and we stitch to your own measurements at no extra cost.

Your size or measurement details are provided before checkout is completed, which is why production can begin the day after you order. If a measurement is unclear, send it to us on WhatsApp before you submit it and our team will confirm it with you.

Size guide and how to measure

Care

  1. Always put paper between the layers when you fold it away. Kora, dabka and nakshi are metallic wire, and the fabric underneath them is fine. Every time the outfit is opened or folded, a stitch on one layer can catch the layer pressed against it and tear through it. A sheet of tissue or plain paper between the layers keeps the wire work away from the cloth, and it costs nothing. Use plain paper rather than newspaper on pale or ivory fabrics, because newsprint ink can mark them.
  2. Store it folded, not hanging. A heavily worked outfit is heavy, and months on a hanger pull the weight onto the shoulder seams.
  3. Dry clean only. Hand and machine washing damages metallic embroidery. Tell your cleaner the outfit carries zardozi, dabka or similar metallic handwork so it is cleaned by hand rather than by machine.
  4. Keep it away from direct sunlight and damp. Perfume and hairspray go on before the outfit, not after.

Questions About This Outfit

Can the design be customised?

Yes. Most customers ask for the design to be made a little more modest — higher neckline, longer or fuller sleeves, more coverage at the back, a longer shirt. Tell us what you want changed on WhatsApp before you order so the pattern is cut correctly the first time. Colour, embroidery colour, sleeves, neckline and length are all adjustable on most designs.

Will the dress look exactly like the photographs?

It will be very close, and we do not compromise on the embroidery or the fabric. Two honest exceptions: the colour shade can look slightly different because of studio lighting and your screen, and because every customer's height and body type is different, a pattern may need to be adjusted so the design sits correctly on you — on a shorter frame, for example, part of the shirt pattern may have to be re-cut. Ask for the final video before dispatch and you will see the actual garment before it ships.

Can I return or exchange it after delivery?

No. Every outfit is cut and stitched for one customer, so it cannot be resold or swapped for another size. That is exactly why the review happens before dispatch: ask for progress photographs and video at any stage, and for the complete final video before your order ships. An order can still be cancelled before dispatch — the windows and deductions are set out in our return policy.

Is there any extra cost on top of the price shown?

No hidden charges. The price you see is the price of the outfit. The only additions are the ones you choose yourself: Rush or Super Rush delivery, and any paid add-ons such as jewellery. Each is priced clearly before you pay.

Can I get matching jewellery with this outfit?

Yes. Matching earrings, necklace and related pieces are available as paid add-ons on this product — select them before you add the outfit to your basket and they are made and shipped with the same order.

Can I get a matching hijab or an extra dupatta?

Yes. Both are possible. Message us on WhatsApp when you place your order and we will tell you exactly how to arrange it.

Is Rush or Super Rush delivery available for this outfit?

Yes, on bridal and groom wear. The Estimated Delivery Timeline box near the top of this page shows live dates for Free, Rush and Super Rush against today's date, so it is always accurate for your order.
